NITROGEN / HELIUM LEAK DETECTION

CONSTRUCTION

ACTIVITIES

I can be used in the construction industry in a

various roles for my clients. I can be employed

for the client as a piping engineer or similar walking

down systems in preparation for test and highlighting

punchlist items. I can also be used as an interface

between main contractor and Hydrotest / Flushing

contractor to provide witness and provide advice.

I am also competent in the review of procedures

and suggest any improvements required.

HOOK UP AND

COMMISSIONING

I can be contracted to be used as a Commissioning Tech or Supervisor leading a team of people walking down systems pre N2/He test or for re-instatement for final handover and during offshore H.U.C to be involved in start up activities. I have experience in camera inspection and gross air leak testing prior

to handover to operations. I also have extensive experience with lining up systems either for test or start up.

I consider this service line as my area of expertise. I am

usually in the position of Project Engineer for N2/He jobs

and am responsible for the creation and production of the procedures in order to carry out the planned works. I am

not limited to this role and can also be utilised as a

Supervisor onsite to run the work and orgainise a team of technicians to carry out the work safely and to a high

standard. During my time at Halliburton and EnerMech I

have been involved in writing procedures on how to operate

the equipment correctly and have been involved with training

a group of new starts to the industry in all aspects of

Process and Pipeline.

NITROGEN PUMPING

I can be utilised as a Nitrogen pump operator if required for Leak Testing , Purging , Gas Lift etc. I am a stand alone Pump Operator and can work unsupervised. I have experience with pumping Nitrogen for Leak testing purposes on the topsides , pipelines to subsea and also Well services applications such as Coil Tubing and drilling applications.

STANDARD AND NON-STANDARD HYDROTESTING

I can perform this service line at an Engineer level through to Technician level if required. I have been involved in large hydrostatic tests as well as small local tests in offshore and onshore enviroments. I have also been involved in specialist non-standard hydrotests such as Kamos Gasket testing , R.I.T testing and Inline / External Flange Weld Testing.

FLUSHING AND CAMERA INSPECTION

Flushing and inspection is an integral part of construction and commissioning on the new build of an offshore installation. I have extensive experience in this service line and have managed to retreive items that have been left in pipework during construction with the use of different flushing methods. I can be utilised for the main client witnessing inspection or by the pre-commissioning comapny to carry out the work. In my experience I have found anything from ear plugs to scaffolding tubes in the lines that would have cause downstream issues with equipment.
